چکیده
Abstract This study presents the results of observation on growth and reproduction Planorbarius corneus (Linnaeus, 1758) (Gastropoda, Pulmonata) over course several years continuous rearing in laboratory order to use them as test organisms for toxicity testing chemicals. Some features (shell diameter increase, fecundity, hatching time rate, age at first reproduction, juvenile survival), which could provide more information culturing P. laboratory, are presented. The quantitative conditions were obtained: heterogenous varied between 0.1 mm 5.3 individual snails, production 0.6 egg masses per snail/day 11 eggs snail/day. A statistically significant negative correlation initial snail size was noticed. In second part experiment, reproductive output 4 isolated snails compared that permanently grouped snails. As a result, 2-fold decreased 4-fold progeny animals

An account is given of the karyotypes and male meiosis of the Water Scorpion Nepa cinerea Linnaeus, 1758 and the Water Stick Insect Ranatra linearis (Linnaeus, 1758) (Heteroptera, Nepomorpha, Nepidae). A number of different approaches and techniques were tried: the employment of both male and female gonads and mid-guts as the sources of chromosomes, squash and air-drying methods for chromosome ...
متن کاملPhysiological rates in different classes of sizes of Perna perna (Linnaeus, 1758) submitted to experimental laboratory conditions.
Physiological studies of the mussel Perna perna in Brazil are almost 30 years behind those of other, more exhaustively investigated species, such as Mytilus edulis. Little is known about the variations in physiological rates due to size and the consequences of maintaining P. perna in laboratory conditions. This work investigated the variations in respiration, clearance, excretion and absorption...
متن کاملReproduction of red foxes (Vulpes vulpes Linnaeus, 1758) in north-eastern Spain: a preliminary report.
Red fox reproduction in north-eastern Spain was studied by analysing the reproductive tracts of 84 females. Mean litter size was estimated to be 3.32 cubs per female, most of the births occurring from mid-March to mid-April.
متن کاملMacroanatomical aspects of the gastrointestinal tract of the alpaca (Vicugna pacos Linnaeus, 1758) and dro- medary (Camelus dromedarius Linnaeus, 1758)
Although camelids and taxonomic ruminants share fundamental convergent properties, such as microbial fermentation and a sorting mechanism in the forestomach with a resulting high degree of digesta particle size reduction, there are important differences in the capacity to process high amounts of food. We describe qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the gastrointestinal anatomy of al...
